Phillip J. Imbrogno

Phillip J. Imbrogno, 60, of 120 Dawson St., passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born May 18, 1951, in Kane, he was the son of Joseph and Frances "Dolly" Cappello Imbrogno. On May 23, 1976, at St. Callistus Catholic Church, he married Shawna Danielson who survives.
Phil was a graduate of Kane Area High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he played college football. For many years he taught math and coached football at Kane Area High School. In the past, he also had coached Little League and wrestling. He was a caring husband, father and teacher who served his church, St. Callistus, as a Eucharist Minister.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Shawna and his mother, Dolly, of Kane, are a daughter, Laura (Eric) Hamshire of Raleigh, N.C.; a son, Daniel Imbrogno of Kane; four brothers, Roger Imbrogno of Merced, Calif., Basil (Francine) Imbrogno of Kane, Paul (Colleen) Imbrogno of Latrobe, Pat (Denise) Imbrogno of Pittsburgh; and a sister, Cindy (Doug) Imbrogno-Atwood of Spokane, Wash.
He was preceded  in death by his father, Joseph Imbrogno and his mother-in-law, Sharone Danielson.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Phillip J. Imbrogno  NHS Scholarship, 400 W. Hemlock Ave., Kane, PA 16735 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
