As of January 5th, 89 UPMC Kane employees have received their first dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine. Mark Papalia, FACHE, President of UPMC Kane says, “At this time, the COVID-19 vaccine is not mandatory for UPMC employees.
Preliminary arraignment for Andrew John Higdon, 30, of 416 First Avenue, Johnsonburg, was held on Tuesday morning before Magisterial District Judge Barry D. Brown.
The winners of the first Holiday House and Business Decorating Contest in Kane have been announced. Over 330 votes were placed during the competition which ran from December 9th through December 30th. The first-place winner of the House Decorating Competition was 109 Hemlock Ave.
Bradford City Police are currently investigating a report of a shooting. Officers attempted to initiate a routine traffic stop on a vehicle due to a vehicle code violation. Once officers stopped the vehicle, the driver was found to have been shot.

Around 2:30 pm Wednesday, a call went out to the Johnsonburg Volunteer Fire Department, for
a structure fire at the old Johnsonburg Hotel in downtown. The call also noted flames were
showing. Upon arrival, JFD Fire Chief Chris Kreckle called for a second alarm for mutual aid
A1C Carter Hewitt, from Bradford, Pennsylvania, is currently stationed at Offutt AFB Nebraska. He will hit his 2-year mark in February 2021. Hewitt said, "I love the Air Force. I think it's a great stepping stone for your career.
