Lady Wolves hosted JV Volleyball Tournament over the weekend

The young Lady Wolves hosted their own JV volleyball tournament on Saturday and had a great opportunity that doesn’t come by that often. The entire JV team played all day long as Coach Whitman was able to split them in half.

Junior all-stars advance to D10 title game: St. Marys beats Elk-McKean 7-6

The St. Marys Junior League all-star baseball team will be playing for the District 10 title after rallying for a 7-6 victory over the Elk-McKean all-stars in the final of the winners bracket on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Park.

Kane cheerleaders to participate in Big 33 on Saturday, June 16

3 cheerleaders from Kane Area High School have been selected to cheer tonight at the 61st annual Big 33 All-Star Football Classic game in Harrisburg. The Kane cheerleaders include, left to right, Sierra Pontious, Krisalyn Rhodes and Madison Bizzak.

Horton named All-American at Division II Nationals

Kane's DJ Horton earned his 4th All-American status by finishing 5th in the pole vault at the 2018 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships held in Charlotte, North Carolina last month. Horton competed as a junior for Indiana University of Pennsylvania and cleared 5.08 meters.

Rams pull away late for 9-0 win over Kane in tourney opener

The final score may make it seem like the Johnsonburg Rams had an easy time against the Kane Wolves in the opening round of the Elk County Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at Berwind Park, but it was only a one-run ballgame until the bottom of the fifth inning.

Kane drops to Elk County Softball Tournament consolation game

St. Marys softball advanced to the championship game of the Elk County Softball Tournament with an 18-0 victory in four innings over Kane Wednesday afternoon at Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School.

Middle school boys place 1st at invite

The Kane Middle School boys track team took first place Saturday at the Johnsonburg Invitational.
They placed first out of 16 teams. The top four had Kane on top with 100 points, Oil City 94, Johnsonburg 61.5 and Bradford 59.
