Warren Overhead Door is installing the last of five new doors on the five-bay Kane borough garage on Poplar Street. All doors now will open with remote controls from borough trucks. Borough Manager Don Payne said the new doors have a R-17 insulation value and are expected to reduce the borough gas heating bill at the garage. He said the borough last year spent about $8,700 to heat the building. The total project cost is about $13,500, Payne said. He said an anonymous donor purchased one of the new doors to cut the borough project expense to about $10,000.
