JAMES CITY— Finally.
The culvert replacement project on Route 66 near the base of the James City Hill is virtually complete. The highway now is open to traffic, according to a spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
The project began in late July and was scheduled for completion Aug. 9. However, it has taken an extra week to complete the work and re-open Route 66 to traffic.
